Paws Animal Shelter in Urbana, Ohio received donations of pet supplies from guests of The Ole’ Book Nook as the store celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a First Dog book signing. A portion of the profit from the day’s event was donated to the shelter.
…how did you get that book to print so quickly?
Answer: A manuscript by J. Patrick Lewis and Beth Zappitello was under review by the Editorial Team at Sleeping Bear Press when (then) President-elect Obama announced that the girls would be getting a puppy. A few adjustments in the manuscript were requested and…
J. Patrick here to pick up that thread: Beth and I worked feverishly on our revisions, finishing them in about two to three weeks, to the satisfaction of our publisher and editor. Sleeping Bear Press knew that the time factor was critical.
But in the end, it was all Tim, painting day and night, who got us on schedule.
